
Stephen Lewis Awarded the E. Bartlett Barnes Distinguished Service Award

Thomaston Savings Bank President and CEO, Stephen Lewis, was awarded the E. Bartlett Barnes Distinguished Service Award from the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce. He was honored at the Chamber’s 134th Annual Awards Dinner on June 5th at the Bristol Event Center.

Mr. Lewis joined the Bank in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to President and CEO in 2010. Stephen had previously worked at the FDIC as a safety and soundness examiner for 15 years. Under his leadership, Thomaston Savings Bank has increased greatly in asset size, expanded into new markets, and has made significant investment in the latest technology and client experience.
Steve remains persistent in advocating for the banking industry. Mr. Lewis currently serves on the Legislative Committee of the CT Bankers Association and the Board of the CT Community Bankers Association. He serves on several committees for the American Bankers Association: Community Bankers Council, Membership Council, and Core Platforms Administrative Council.
He is an active participant in his community serving as a member Rotary Club of Thomaston; Vice Chair of the Thomaston Rotary Scholarship Investment Committee; Corporator for the Bristol Hospital; Chairman of the Blakeslee Scholarship Committee; Executive Committee member and Treasurer for the Connecticut Bar Foundation; and as a member of the United Way Greater Waterbury Campaign Leadership Committee. He resides in Burlington with his wife of over 30 years Kim, and is a proud father to their two sons, Benjamin and Jonathan.
